SAP CO Consultant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP CO Consultant with deep expertise in Responsibility Accounting, Product Costing, and Project Systems (PS) to support finance transformation initiatives in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will lead SAP implementations, optimize cost control processes, and provide strategic insights into financial accountability and project-based cost tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead SAP CO implementations and enhancements focused on Responsibility Accounting, and Product Costing and Project Systems.
- Conduct workshops with finance, operations, and project teams to gather business requirements.
- Design and configure cost structures, cost allocations, and internal reporting frameworks.
- Implement project accounting processes including budgeting, cost planning, tracking, and settlement.
- Integrate CO modules with FI, MM, PP, and SD to support end-to-end manufacturing processes.
- Provide expert guidance on internal cost control, and project financials
- Support testing, training, and post-go-live stabilization.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 6–12 years of SAP CO experience with strong hands-on expertise in cost management and analysis solutions, product cost planning, actual product cost reporting, production variance settlement and Project Systems.
- Proven experience in Responsibility Accounting and internal financial reporting.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing cost flows, cost center planning, and project lifecycle management.
- Experience with S/4HANA and Fiori applications is highly desirable.
- Ability to write functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers.
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
- SAP CO certification is a plus.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in global manufacturing operations and multi-plant cost structures.
- Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and ALM.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration capabilities
Salary is negotiable with a range of $81,500- 123,000.
