SAP Materials Management Senior Consultant
Overview:
BearingPoint is seeking a motivated and experienced SAP Materials Management (MM) Senior Consultant to join our SAP US practice. We are looking for an individual with strong technical and business skills, a passion for helping clients to realize the value of SAP MM, and a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will have a track record of leading successful projects, an in-depth understanding of SAP MM, and the ability to assume leadership roles during an SAP MM implementation. You will be responsible for providing functional and technical expertise to ensure project success, manage client expectations, and ensure client satisfaction. It will also be important that you provide independent guidance and support to the client and internal teams regarding complex procurement and supply chain business processes. Candidates for this position should have deep expertise in purchasing, goods receiving, material storage, inventory, and invoicing. - Lead SAP MM implementation projects or workstreams
- Build a trusting relationship with clients
- Lead the requirement gathering, solution design, blueprinting, testing, workflow and documentation, as well as the functional design of the solution
- Work closely with stakeholders and technical team members to translate requirements into business solutions and complete configurations and/or integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems
- This individual will report to the BearingPoint US SAP Practice Leader, James Cho
Requirements:
- Bachelors required
- Employment location preference: 1) Chicago; 2) New York; 3) Detroit
- 5+ years of combined business and configuration experience with the SAP Materials Management module
- 3+ years of experience leading SAP projects or workstreams with highly desired experience in global solutions and deployments
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, make persuasive presentations, and provide quality customer service
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as agile and waterfall
- Familiarity with SAP implementation methodology such as SAP Activate
- Exposure to the automotive and manufacturing industries is advantageous
- Experience integrating SAP MM with modules such as SD, FI, and CO
- Experience with bolt-on software solutions such as Ariba and IBP
- Highly desired experience in purchasing, goods receiving, material storage, inventory, and invoicing
- Expert integration knowledge of procurement and supply chain business processes
- Experience in writing complex functional specifications and configuration documents
- Knowledge of regulations, industry practices, benchmarks and evolving technologies and ability to research client challenges and market trends
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications
- SAP-accredited certification is advantageous
- The willingness to travel to meet the needs of clients; 80% of travel is estimated
