HR Consultant
BearingPoint is a global consulting firm based in Europe with over 6,000 employees worldwide. As business has expanded to three legal entities: BearingPoint U.S. INC (Advisory Consulting Services); BearingPoint NA LLC (an SAP focused joint venture with Abeam); Arcwide (an IFS focused company).
With our complexity increasing, we have a need to split HR into two main functions:
HR Strategic Leadership
HR Tactical / Employee Facing Activities
This role is focused on the HR Tactical / Employee Facing Activities, specifically for our BearingPoint NA LLC entity.
The preferred candidate is someone who has 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in Consulting or Professional Services, and/or in a start-up environment. The key responsibilities for this position include:
Recruiting
Leading Campus recruiting activities to identify new Analysts
Leading recruiting for experienced Analyst and Consultant level resources (candidates with 3 or fewer years of experience)
Coordinating with a 3rd party firm for recruiting Senior Consultants and Managers
Facilitating interviews for senior leaders (recruiting led by outside firm)
Serving as the focal point for all candidates in answering HR related questions during the recruiting process
Facilitating travel and reimbursement for any candidates traveling for interviews
Onboarding / Offboarding
Coordinate with local IT support and ensuring new hires are entered into all relevant systems, have proper system credentials and have a laptop on their first day of work (either provided in office or mailed to their home)
Coordinating the start date of new employees, including ensuring they can access BearingPoint offices and that someone is meeting them on their first morning
Conducting training of new hires with BearingPoint basics (history of BearingPoint, org charts, values, etc.)
Coordinating additional training for new hires through online courses, assigning mentors, etc.
Ensuring departing employees have turned in any equipment and badges and that all system access is turned off accordingly
Conducting exit interviews with staff and providing trends to the leadership team including the U.S. HR Manager
Serving as the local focal point for employees to raise issues. Working with the U.S. HR Manager, FW HR and other leaders as necessary to resolve any serious issues
Monitoring any firmwide or regulatory mandated training to ensure LLC staff all adheres to timelines
Providing leadership HR related reports such as PTO balances, Development Manager / Development Partner assignments, status of training, status of performance reviews and goal setting, etc.
Reviewing and responding to employee comments in WinningTemp (BearingPoint anonymous HR feedback tool), alerting leadership regarding trends, helping put together improvement plans
Coordinating the entry of 401K related data
Making updates to employee records (life events, promotions, change of address, etc.)
Ensure accurate employee records are maintained and communicate employee changes to FW HR (e.g., new hires/terminations, DM/DP assignments).
Provide employment verification letters as requested
Salary range is $65,000 - $85,000 with an annual bonus up to 10% of base salary.

The ideal candidate lives in Chicago and can be in the office at least 4 days per week.
Travel will not be a regular part of the role but may be required as part of opening new BearingPoint offices, conferences, and firmwide HR meetings in Europe (no more than once per year).
Qualifications:
3+ years HR experience, preferably in professional services / consulting and in a start-up environment.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and results-oriented work habits.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to work with all levels of US colleagues.
Experience leading recruiting for junior staff.
Interested in working in an international environment.
Highly motivated and self-driven.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
